Holiday Series!

The Smart and Legal Way of Doing Business in Nigeria (1)

Our Holiday has officially started! Our debut Holiday Series, The Smart and Legal Way of Doing Business in Nigeria takes off with the speed of light. Stay with us!

Permit us to put this out in public domain, the aim of this Holiday Series is to point out economical ways of doing business, while staying within the confines of law.
Firstly, to do business in Nigeria with the attendant legal consequences, the business must either be Registered as a Business Name or Incorporated as a Company. You have a discretion to elect the appropriate legal structure to put in place. Be it the Business Name or an Incorporated Company. Of course, there are financial burdens to bear, it includes the cost of Registration and/or Incorporation as well as the appropriate Professional Fees for the legal exercise.

Here is the gist, wait for it! If you desire to either Register a Business Name or Incorporate a Company and you do not have the financial muscle to do so. Here is the SMART thing to do!!! You have an option of reserving your desired Name for a period of 60 days; while you source for fund for either Registration or Incorporation.
All through the 60 days period, the desired name (which is peculiar to your brand and/or product) will be protected and no other person will be allowed to use same.
Is this, not a Smart and Legal Way of Doing Business?
