These properties, include money, houses, cars, pets, land, money in the bank account, pension fund etc. WHO CAN MAKE A WILL? 🤔 🤔 Generally, any sane person above...

The working definition of the term Contract was provided, so also the basic elements of Contracts were identified. We equally supplied some examples of Contract. This week, we will go further and consider the first element of a valid contract as well as some “must know” principles. 📣 📣 📣 A Contract could either be written or oral. The facts that terms were not reduced into a written document before the commencement of a project, assignment, relationship etc., does not make it less of a Contract.  👌 However, it is desirable to have a written Contract, where all terms, conditions, parties’ expectations etc., are contained in a document. 📚 Please note, that where there is a written contract, parties will be bound by the terms and none of the parties will be allowed to introduce a term, clause, condition etc., not contemplated or agreed to jointly by the contracting parties. Generally, it is advocated that a written contract is more desirable as contracting parties’ r...

ADOPTION: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW. 🤔 🤔 🤔 This is a sensitive discourse and as such will be treated with high sense of responsibility. Firstly, in view of the nature of this platform, this discourse will be limited to basic knowledge. Secondly, Adoption procedure differs from State to State, accordingly the general requirements of law will be considered. The understated sub-heads will be our guide: 1. What is Adoption? It is a process whereby a person (a single parent or married couple) assumes the parenting of a minor from that minor’s biological or legal parents and therewith permanently assumes all rights and responsibilities, from the biological parents of the minor. 2. Who can be Adopted? A person below the age of 18 years old; a. Whose parent or surviving guardian consent to it; or b. Who has been abandoned, neglected and/or ill treated 3. Who can Adopt? There are 3 (three) categories of persons who can adopt: a. Married Couple i.e. (Husband AND Wife) ...
